Restorative dermopigmentation

"Listening to and overall patient care are also part of a successful restorative dermopigmentation"

The technique of restorative dermopigmentation is similar to that of aesthetic dermopigmentation, but the management of the patient and the final objective are quite different.
It applies to people who suffer (or have suffered) from serious pathologies, heavy treatments, after-effects of accidents or burns, or simply from unsightly skin marks, baldness, alopecia areata ...
A malformation, an unsightly scar, traumatized or diseased skin, can cause a loss of self-confidence, a difficulty in bearing the gaze of the other.

Restorative dermopigmentation then intervenes in the process of psychological reconstruction and restoration of the self-image.
Its objective is to correct, camouflage, restore while remaining as close as possible to the natural.
The technique aims, thanks to pigments of different colors, to conceal scars, to mask sparse areas of the scalp, to recreate an areola
breast,

to redraw the eyebrows before or after chemotherapy, to camouflage the scar of a cleft lip and palate (harelip), or skin depigmentation ...

Restorative dermopigmentation is an ideal solution, when it is
practiced with rigor, in relation and in agreement with the medical profession.
Anyone foreseeing pigmentation following an illness, treatment or surgery must be in possession of a medical certificate notifying the non-contraindication of the act of restorative dermopigmentation.
A defect of the soul cannot be corrected, but a defect of the face, if corrected, can correct a soul.

Proposed interventions
  • Pigmentation of the mammary areolas
Following thebreast removal due to cancer, plastic and reconstructive surgery is regularly offered to women.
Dermopigmentation will take place after breast reconstruction in order to finalize the work and create or correct an areola and a nipple, but also to rebalance two areolas which are no longer identical or symmetrical.
After the surgical procedure and the trompe l'oeil pigmentation of the areola and nipple, the patient regains a harmonious breast, which is, let us not forget, one of the most important symbols of her femininity.
In this case, the restructuring of the mammary areola may represent the ultimate act of personal reconstruction!

Pigmentation of the mammary areola can be performed at Studio DERMO with a final pigment

Following a plastic surgery , it is common that the appearance of the nipple is not the same.
Thanks to dermopigmentation, it is possible to restore it to a harmonious shape and to camouflage the peri-areolar scar. This can be in an arc at the lower part of the areola or completely surround the areola, depending on the type of intervention that has been planned (breast augmentation or reduction, reduction of ptosis).
In this case, dermopigmentation can be considered to perfect the aesthetic result, and consists of re-pigmentation of the scar in a tone identical to that of the areola or of the skin on the periphery.

It can also be a simple matter of repigmenting a naturally poorly pigmented areola. This procedure remains very comfortable since topical (surface) anesthetics are applied to the skin before the start of the procedure.

  • Scars camouflage

Lifting scars
  • Creating an eyebrow line
The eyebrow line can be damaged following alopecia areata or alopecia chemotherapy, but also after an accident, the brow bone being an area very exposed to trauma.
Pigmenting them gives a dynamic and healthy air and lThe patient finds an advantageous image which will help him to rebuild himself more calmly.
The eyebrows represent one of the essential elements for the harmony of the face.

  • Restructuring of the mouth
The mouth can be damaged by localized depigmentation, a scar or a congenital malformation of the cleft lip-palate type.
Facial paralysis, hemiplegia or hemiparesis (neurological dysfunction, especially in stroke) can give it an asymmetrical appearance.
Locally or totally pigmenting a lip in the shade of its natural mucosa or even a more sustained tone to give a made-up effect, allows to camouflage imperfections, to find a well-defined mouth as well as an overall harmony of the face.

  • Coloring of an area of depigmented skin
It can be indicated in the case of melanin defects, such as, for example, vitiligo.
Vitiligo is a dermatological condition characterized by localized depigmentation, due to the cessation of melanin production in the affected areas.
The indication is therefore to repigment the clear surfaces of the visible areas (face, décolleté, hands and arms) and not very important. It would be unreasonable to intervene on very large areas or on unstabilized vitiligo.
It is imperative to know that if healthy skin constantly changes color depending on the outside temperature, exposure to the sun, etc., the re-pigmented skin will be stable in color and the shade will not undergo the same variations. This phenomenon must therefore be taken into account to define an average reference color.
  • Redefining the lash line
Caused by chemotherapy, alopecia, trichotillomania (OCD) or any other pathology or accident, the absence of eyelashes can be a source of mental discomfort.
Restorative dermopigmentation helps to regain the lost intensity of the gaze and to say stop to complexes.
